Omar Askari is an operator and investor with over twenty years originating and closing complex deals across payments, technology platforms and capital markets in the UK, US, Europe and Asia. His work sits where business, government and regulators meet: the exact terrain where defence and security capability has to be navigated into adoption.

As Chief Business Officer at NayaPay, he took the business from heavy burn to gross profitability in two years and led the AliPay+ partnership that opened Pakistani QR payments into China through an exceptional regulatory approval. As Global Head of Business Development at Revolut, he ran the group’s global cloud negotiation to the chief executive of Google Cloud, supporting its path to profitability. As Head of Business for Uber in Pakistan, he built a $100M+ business and contributed to the due diligence behind Uber’s $3.4bn Careem acquisition.
